Is Jacqueline Fernandez not a part of Salman Khan's Kick 2?

While the main hero and the director/producer are returning, it is fair to ask whether the movie's heroine is also making a return here. Jacqueline Fernandez had played the female lead in the movie.

However as per a report in BollywoodLife, that will not be the case, as the makers are looking to cast a new leading lady for Salman in the movie. A source close to the project told the portal, “Jacqueline Fernandez will not be a part of Kick 2, however, this is not because of any issue between anyone, but because the story is completely different. Jacqueline’s track ended in Kick. In fact, Kick 2has a completely new plot and characters, hence Sajid Nadiadwala and his team decided to cast a new leading lady. They’ve shortlisted a few names and should make an announcement soon.”

It is not the first time when Bollywood had retained the leading hero but not the leading heroine for the sequel. Some examples that come to our mind Dedh Ishqiya, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Golmaal Returns, Golmaal Again, and others.

There is also the fact that Salman Khan and Jacqueline are already pairing up for Race 3, and the makers would be wanting to avoid repeating the same duo. Well, we have to wait and watch to see who will play the leading lady.

Meanwhile Jacqueline has been getting some real high praise from her Race 3 director Remo D'Souza. In a press statement, Remo D’Souza said, "Jacqueline is a very hardworking girl. It is amazing to see what she has accomplished with the pole dance form in such a short span of time. We have all seen glimpses of her pole dance skills. Hence, we decided to include it in Race 3 and take it to the next level."
of days ago when producer Sajid Nidiadwala greenlit the sequel to his directorial debut Kick, titled kick 2 and announced that it'll be eyeing for a Christmas 2019 release, fans of salman Khan were elated to say the least. They all went into a state of frenzy more so because 2019 will see his two releases in Bharat for Eid and Kick 2 for Christmas.

However, there were also speculations and questions whether Jacqueline Fernandez be a part of the sequel. A report in BollywoodLife had suggested that Jacqueline won't be a part of the film as Kick 2 won't be a direct sequel to Kick but a completely different story altogether.

The report stated, "Jacqueline Fernandez will not be a part of Kick 2, however, this is not because of any issue between anyone, but because the story is completely different. Jacqueline’s track ended in Kick. In fact, Kick 2 has a completely new plot and characters, hence Sajid Nadiadwala and his team decided to cast a new leading lady. They’ve shortlisted a few names and should make an announcement soon."
